The current profiles

If profiles have already been created, they will be displayed on this screen.

To Continue

Choose the profile you wish to use.
Press OK on the remote.

That would be the profile with which the application will open.

Creating a New Profile

Here’s how to set up a new profile:

Step 1: Select Add Profile

Click Add Profile on the profile screen and then hit OK.

Step 2: Enter Profile Name

That will prompt you to type a profile name. It can be the name of the user or some custom name you want.

Step 3: Select Age Rating

Select an age rating for the profile.

Available Options

TV12
TV14
TV16
TV18
TV21
TV Adult

These ratings allow moderation of the content reached through the profile.

Locking Profile with Parental Control

The Parental Control Lock setting can be found just underneath the option for an age rating.

You will see two options:

Not Locked – The profile is available without any restrictions.
Locked – A parental control PIN will be needed to view restricted content on the profile.
This is helpful when parents want to restrict what children can view.

Submitting the Profile

Now once you enter all the needed fields:

Select the Submit button.
Press OK on the remote.

The application will create a new profile.

Selecting a Profile

After the profile is created:

Press the remote’s “Back” or “Menu” button. This will show all the profiles you can use.
Choose the Real 2X profile you would like to use.
Press OK.

You can toggle between profiles based on the viewer’s preferences at any time.

Tip

Establishing different adult and child profiles can assist in keeping content restrictions under control and allow for more personalised viewing.

Personal Profile, Settings and Messages

As stated, the profile selection screen will show up on the Real 2X application at the first moment of users opening it. They may choose their profile to keep using the app.

The user can choose a profile of their choice using the Real TV remote and then press OK.

Once you select the profile, it will open the application dashboard. This will bring up a sidebar menu on the left of your screen.

Accessing the Personal Section

The first option in the sidebar menu as you enter any profile is Personal.

To Access It

Use the remote to go to Personal.
Press OK; the current profile name is displayed.
Tapping the profile name via the OK button on the remote will open the Profile Management screen; all profiles are displayed and managed.

Under the profile name, include the options:

The Messages section shows important notifications related to the user’s account and services.

How to Use Settings in Real 2X App Profile Section

The Settings section of the Real 2X application in profiles lets you customize the experience. As for the options here, users can update the app, adjust language settings, toggle parental controls, and customize recording options. In this section, you will learn how to navigate the Settings menu and utilise each feature available.

How to Access Settings

To open the Settings menu:

Open the Real 2X application.
On the profile screen, choose your profile.
After the dashboard loads, click on the Personal option in the sidebar menu.
Press OK on the remote.
Scroll down and select Settings.

In the Settings menu, a few configuration options will now be shown.

There are different configuration options which let users customize the app.

About

The information in the About section contains useful technical details about the application, such as:

Application version
System information
Other technical details

This is handy when verifying if the app has been updated.

Content Language

The language input allows users to choose their preferred language for content viewing. These include many regional languages such as Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Gujarati. Along with Hindi and English.

The language setting allows the app to sort and present content based on user preference.

In-App Theme

It is a customization feature for changing the application’s look.

Some themes might use slightly different colours or visual styles to provide a better-suited viewing experience.

Update App

It allows customers to check if the Real 2X app is on the latest version.

How to Check for Updates

Open Settings.
Select the Update App.
Press OK.

Your system will start checking for updates.

Updating the application ensures:

Better performance
Bug fixes
Access to new features

Recording Offset

It is an option that adjusts the start and end times for recorded programs.

TV shows can run early or late sometimes. Of course, it has a recording offset feature, so nothing is missed at all.

Available Offset Options

2 minutes
5 minutes
7 minutes
10 minutes
12 minutes
15 minutes

The time chosen will be pre-filled before and after the recording.

Parental Control

This feature is especially helpful in homes with children, and using it in the Real 2X app, users can restrict certain content or channels.

How to Set Parental Control

Go to the Settings.
Select Parental Control.
Set a PIN code.
Restrict content with a PIN to lock it away.

After being activated, the app will ask for the PIN every time restricted material is viewed.

Change Language

It allows the user to change the interface language in the app.

Available Language Options Currently Include

English
Hindi
Punjabi

Other languages may also be available depending on the version of the application.

24-H

Users now have the option to adjust the display of time in the application with a check box for the 24-hour time format.

Users can select between:

12-hour format (AM / PM)
24-hour format

This setting will change how time is displayed in various settings.

Devices

Here the customer can see how many devices their particular Real 2X account is connected to.

Recharge

As the name suggests, the user can recharge to continue or upgrade their Real 2X application. Just select this option using the remote and add the code of your recharge, and the system will do the rest.

Logout

Using this option, the Real TV customers can log out from their Real 2X application.
