How to Install Your Real X IPTV Box

Setting up your Real X IPTV Box correctly is important so that it works well and connects to your TV and the internet without any problems. The next part tells you what’s in the box, what each port does, and the basic steps you need to take to finish the installation.

Ports Explanation (Situated at the Back of the Box)

Ports Explanation
Looking at the back of the box, you’ll see several ports lined up from left to right:
  • AV Port: It is present in Real X for older TVs that need an AV connection (if your TV supports it)
  • Optical Port: It is there for getting connected to digital audio equipment, especially if you have a soundbar or home theatre. (Bluetooth/IR)
  • LAN Port: Via this, you can connect your “Real X box” to an Ethernet cable.
  • HDMI Port: You can use this to connect the box to your television or monitor. HDMI provides the best picture and sound.
  • DC 5V Port: This is where you will connect your power adapter.

Installation Steps

Installation Steps

Step 1: Connect to Your TV

HDMI is the way to go for most people. Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the Real X box and the other end into your TV or monitor.
If you’ve got an older TV and need to use AV, connect through the AV port present at the back.

Step 2: Get Your Power Up

  • Insert the power adapter’s thin, rounded tip into the DC 5V port.
  • Connect the opposite end to the wall.
  • The time will appear on the front of the box when it automatically turns on.

Step 3: Select HDMI after turning on your TV

  • Turn on your TV.
  • After that, you need to press the HDMI, Source, or Input button using your TV remote to select a particular HDMI port. Most TVs require you to manually select the input unless auto-detection and HDMI-CEC are enabled.
  • Pick the specific HDMI port you used (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.)
  • After a short wait, the Real X home or setup screen should show up.

Step 4: Set Up the Remote

  • Pop in the batteries in your Real TV remote.
  • If the screen asks, go through the Bluetooth pairing steps.
  • To use IR mode, just point the remote straight at the box.
